Okhai offers handcrafted apparel and lifestyle products in contemporary designs, created by rural artisans across India. Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development (TCSRD) set up Okhai with a vision to recognize and promote traditional handicraft techniques that are in danger of dying.
Dating back to the 14th century, Bidri is an art of inlaying gold and silver into black metal – involving an extensive handiwork. Studio Bidri, originates from the village of Bidar in Northern Karnataka. It aims at reviving the ancient art of Bidri, providing a platform to local artisans.
Craftbell was founded with the idea of keeping crafts alive. Using wood carving and painting techniques, Craftbell designs home décor products for a contemporary household. They work to adapt dying arts into everyday utility products while keeping the essence of the art alive.
