The concept of Bhavm started in Wayanad on Jan 5, 2005, centred on2009 at Kalpetta. We registered under the Kerala society act as “CHUVARCHITHRAMEZHUTHU PADANASALA”.
The purpose of the house is to preserve this painting system for next-generation. We organised a training room for children and adults, seminars, camps and exhibitions both inside and outside the state. From the preliminary knowledge imparted by our teacher Sri Bhargavan Azhikode, we began to reproduce the Kerala art which was drawn only on walls to other mediums like bamboo, canvas, wood, metal, terracotta products and fabrics. The unemployment problems in the rural areas of Wayanad, to some extent, was also solved through the training programmes for women.
