Workshop Facilitators: Swayamprabha Hegde & Maitreyi Hegde

Swayamprabha Hegde is the co founder of Native Circle. She has been a strong force in creating a niche for Native Circle products. Swayamprabha holds a degree in Astrophysics, a masters in computer science and animation and also sociology. She has been in the social space for the last 4 years.

Maitreyi is in the space of product development for the last 2 years. Prior to venturing into sustainable product development, she was in the industry for 2 years and in academic research for 3 years. She holds a degree and masters in Biotechnology.

Cost inclusions: Course fee, Welcome drink, Lunch (veg) and a free take home product

Workshop equipment: Utensils, oils, natural fragrance, charcoal, neem, manjishta, citrus, soapnut, lemongrass and water.

Workshop Content: 
1. Introduction to natural and organic products
2. Introducing bioenzyme
3. Difference between conventional cleaners and bioenzyme
4. Potential applications of the product
5. Demonstration and hands on training 
6. Understanding the need to switch from conventional bodywashes to natural bodywashes
7. Exploring soaps; the benefits and harms of its individual ingredients
8. Demonstration of soap making

Itinerary: 

11:00 am -1:30 pm

1. Introduction to soaps:  what are soaps, a brief about their contents
2. Understanding the difference between conventional bodywash products and natural, organic bodywashes
3. Lesser known facts about the harmful ingredients of a conventional soap bar; their affects on environment
4. How to make your own soap : demonstration and DIY

1:30-2:30 : Lunch

2:30 pm-5:00 pm

1. Introduction to natural and organic products : understanding the difference; harmful ingredients of the conventional products.
2. What is bioenzyme? Definition-contents of a bioenzyme- contents of a conventional cleaner.
3. Make your own bioenzyme from kitchen waste; demonstration and DIY.
4. Applications of bioenzyme in day to day activities. 

Terms & Conditions: 

1. Preferably do not bring children as the participants will be dealing with caustic soda.
2. Photography and videography are not allowed.
3. Bring an apron or an extra work cloth of your own.

Cancellation Policy: 50% refund on or before 7 days from the date of the event. No cancellation permitted a week before the workshop.
